POWNAL – Stakeboarding ramps no longer needed because of a pending skatepark upgrade in Williamstown, Massachusetts, have been donated to the town of Pownal.
The ramps were delivered last week and are now in place in the recreation and skate park area near the Pownal town offices on Center Street.
“The town of Pownal is incredibly grateful for the substantial donation made by Williamstown to our skatepark,” Pownal Executive Assistant Tara Parks said Monday. “We also credit this wonderful skate park upgrade to [local contractor] Jeff Miller, who volunteered his time and equipment to make all of the pieces come together.”
Parks said the town likewise wanted to publicly thank Justin Olansky, a Pownal resident who works for the Williamstown Department of Public Works.
The ramps had been in
