AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Don Harrington Discovery Center is hosting its fall fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 3, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

This year’s theme, Floating Through Time, will take guests throughout Amarillo’s helium history as the Helium Capital of the World. Select artifacts from the Helium Monument’s time capsules will be on display for the public to see.

A focus on the past, present, and future of helium and its ties to Amarillo will be the heart of this event, which will help fund DHDC’s exhibits, programs, and community outreach.

DHDC’s science demonstrations will also be showcased throughout the event, with plenty of other activities for guests to enjoy for a date night or with friends and a live jazz band performing in one of the exhibit wings.
