MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEVV) — Madisonville Mayor Kevin Cotton was named the 2025 Elected Official of the Year by the Kentucky League of Cities at their annual conference.
Mayor Cotton was recognized for his innovative leadership and dedication to Madisonville, with nominators praising his commitment and humility.
“Mayor Cotton embodies the true essence of a servant leader," Madisonville City Clerk Kim Blue said. "He prioritizes the needs of our community, consistently demonstrating a genuine desire to serve the citizens of our city.”
Police Chief Steve Bryan highlighted Cotton's role in establishing the Western Kentucky Police Academy in Madisonville. “If there is one person without whom this project would not have happened, it is Mayor Kevin Cotton," Bryan said.
Mayor Cotton's community
