CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Police are investigating after gunshots were fired near a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools bus on its way to school.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said the shooting happened along Baltimore Avenue, close to Benjamin Street, on Tuesday morning, Sept. 30.
The bus was at a stop on its way to Myers Park High School, CMS said.
No students were injured, and the bus did not appear to be the intended target, officers said.
The bus driver left the area, according to CMS.
