Derbyshire police have issued an update after a large-scale street fight in Heanor. Red Lion Square and part of the High Street in Heanor were closed to traffic until the morning of Saturday, September 27, after a fight occurred outside the Red Lion pub the night before.

Police have been investigating reports of a fight between a large group of people, with two men taken to hospital for their injuries. A 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, and officers said in an update that he had been released on police bail as enquiries continue.

The injuries of the two men are not thought to be life-threatening or changing.
