Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey are among the most affected areas, with each recording more than 2,900 incidents in the past year.
Barnet reported 3,934 vehicle crimes between June 2024 and June 2025, followed by Enfield with 3,852 and Brent with 3,257, according to new data compiled by CarMats4U.
The figures highlight a wider trend across London, which recorded more than 96,500 vehicle crimes during the same period—a rate of 11 incidents per 1,000 residents, the highest in the UK.
Jamie Barke, managing director of CarMats4U, said: "While it’s encouraging to see crime levels fall in the colder months, the data shows clear spikes in the spring and autumn.
"The seasonal pattern suggests opportunistic thieves are more active at certain times of year, particularly as the days grow shorter.
