MICHIGAN CITY — A witness told police that 47-year-old Tommy "Ski" Hodges had been looking for 23-year-old Jacob Addison for days before allegedly shooting and killing Addison during the early morning hours of Sept. 3, according to newly-filed court documents.

The two men had been seen arguing near the local Salvation Army and Hodges claimed Addison owed him money, police were told.

Just prior to the shooting, Hodges was at a residence in the 1300 block of Franklin Street smoking K2 - a synthetic form of marijuana - and "cooking some dope on the stove," a witness told police.

Addison, who was reportedly homeless, walked into the residence and began arguing with Hodges, police were told. Hodges then struck Addison with a gun held within a sock causing him to fall to the floo
