ROSELAWN — Police have identified the 40-year-old Hebron resident who died as a result of a crash Friday as Krystina Marie Pickett.

Pickett died after crashing into another vehicle early Friday night in the area of County Road 600 East, just north of County Road 1125, according to the Newton County Sheriff's Department.

Police said they were called to the site around 6:13 p.m. Friday, where they learned a southbound Hyundai passenger car driven by Pickett collided with a northbound Ford SUV pulling a camper.

Pickett had to be extricated from her vehicle and then was flown to a Chicago hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries, police said.

The driver of the SUV reportedly refused medical treatment at the scene.
