A 34-year-old Clinton Township man with a previous home invasion conviction is free on bond after being charged with committing the same crime again, police said Tuesday.

Nicholas Duronio was arraigned in 41B District on Thursday, Sept. 25 on second-degree home invasion and other crimes. Magistrate Ryan Zemke set bond at $100,000.

The charges stem from a Sept. 23 incident where Clinton Township police were called to a reported home invasion in progress at Colony Condominiums on Hall Road near Dalcoma Drive.

Police said the homeowner, who was not home at the time, was watching her property on a surveillance camera as a white male entered her residence through an unlocked garage door. She called 911 and provided real-time updates to dispatchers as officers responded to the scene.
