ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Governor Glenn Youngkin just announced a new retail manufacturing company will be expanding in Chesterfield.
Earlier this year, Google and Hitachi Energy announced they would be moving into a couple of our hometowns.
We spoke with an economic expert about the impact these big businesses will have on the commonwealth.
“It’s almost always good news when you’ve got businesses coming to your location, and Virginia, for several years, has been one of the top states to do business in,” said Roanoke College Dean of the School of Business, Economics, and Analytics, Dr. Alice Kassens.
Dr. Kassens said Virginia offers a plethora of benefits to business owners, especially large corporations because of less regulations and the state’s tax code.
Adding it’s an overall boost t
