MONROE COUNTY, Wis. (WXOW) — A Beaver Dam man is in custody after being linked to numerous child sex crimes and sexual assault cases across the state.

According to the Tomah Police Department, police began investigating the sexual assault of a girl in Tomah in May 2025.

During the investigation, the suspect was identified as Owen Sindelar, 24.

Police found that Sindelar traveled throughout Wisconsin and is suspected of committing multiple sexual assaults involving both children and adults.

Sindelar is being charged in three counties with the following:

Charges in Dane County in August 2025:

Third-degree sexual assault

Exposing genitals to a child

Child enticement - expose genitals

Strangulation/suffocation

Two counts of felony bail jumping
