Middlesbrough remained four points clear at the top of the Championship but had to settle for a point against Stoke City, as they rued not taking advantage of their first half advantage.
While Sol Brynn was required to make three important saves in a far more open second half, Boro enjoyed near total dominance in the first half but just couldn’t find a way past Viktor Johansson. In the end, as they tired in the second half, they had to dig deep to ensure they at least took a point.
