A Reno doctor who worked for the Nevada Department of Corrections waived his scheduled Tuesday arraignment on felony battery and robbery charges.

Justin Voss was arrested Sept. 10 after he and his girlfriend, Zadora Hightower, then an attorney for the city of Sparks, called to report a suspected drunken driver who left the scene of an accident near Thomas Creek Road in south Reno.

The responding deputy's report said an 88-year-old man pulled over when a driver behind him flashed his lights. The man, whose name was redacted, said Voss came up to his truck and opened the door.
