GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Sheriff’s office officials released video of a K-9 unit tracking down a suspect in a home invasion in Gainesville early Monday morning.

Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say they responded to reports of a residential burglary on West University Avenue. The residents told deputies that Travis Grigger, a convicted felon, had tried to enter the home after being told to stay outside.

Grigger broke a window screen and tried to enter before running off.

Deputies say he had active warrants out of Alachua County for felony battery, written threat to kill or injure, and burglary with assault or battery. The warrants were related to crimes committed against one of the people in the home.
