Middlesbrough had to settle for a point against Stoke City, in a game of two halves for them.

Having dominated the first half and had a fair few chances and a decent penalty shout too, their standards dropped in the second half as they appeared to tire. Stoke very nearly took advantage, and grew in confidence in the game but they too were unable to find a way through.
