PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- A man has been ordered held after allegedly robbing a South Peoria store for $20.

Peoria County Judge Mark Gilles approved the state's petition to have Pablo Sanchez, 26, held pending the outcome of his trial for an alleged armed robbery on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers with the Peoria Police Department were called at approximately 11:50 a.m. to the Daily Food Mart on South Shelley Street to a report of an armed robbery, prosecutors said.

When officers arrived, they found an employee who said a man had come in and allegedly held up a gun and told him to give him money, they said.

Prosecutors said the employee allegedly handed the man four $5 bills. Officers found someone matching the description near the intersection of South Western Avenue and South Proctor Street
