NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A dozen large sites across Newport News -- some underused, others waiting for redevelopment -- are now being targeted for investment.

This week, city leaders are inviting developers from across the region and beyond to take a look at what these properties could become.

The city is launching its first-ever NN EDGE Summit -- a two-day event focused on bringing new life to 12 priority development sites, from commercial parcels to redevelopment opportunities.

“This is about transformation. This is about partnership," said Newport News Mayor Phillip Jones. "This is about the next step in the history of Newport News.”
