BLAIR COUNTY (WTAJ) - New concerns are being raised about acts of racism within the Bellwood-Antis School District. This comes after an incident last week in which the high school's student section shouted racially derogatory remarks toward a Tyrone volleyball player.
"It was directed in a racist way, and it's just frustrating. Still living in 2025, dealing with this," Raeleigh Oliver, the Tyrone volleyball player, targeted said.
Others around the community are now speaking out about their own experiences, including a mom who says that just a few weeks ago, her 5-year-old son's four-wheeler was stolen. When it was found, there were racial slurs written all over it.
