BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Starbucks announced the closures of hundreds of its coffeehouses nationwide, and some of those stores are located here in Bakersfield.

17 News stopped by the Starbucks locations at The Marketplace, located at 9000 Ming Ave., and 3300 White Ln. in south Bakersfield. Both storefronts had closed shop.

The same letter was posted on the front doors of both stores, saying the locations will be closed by the end of the week.

The store on White Lane was in the active process of taking down outdoor signage when 17 News arrived.

“During the review, we identified coffeehouses where we’re unable to create the physical environment our customers and partners expect, or where we don’t see a path to financial performance, and these locations will be closed,” Starbucks CEO
