Rachael Rollins , who resigned as US attorney for Massachusetts amid an ethics scandal and investigations by the Department of Justice, has agreed to a public reprimand for misconduct by the state board that oversees her law license, according to documents released Monday.

Her attorney provided the Globe with records from the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers showing that Rollins admitted to improperly disclosing confidential information to a Boston Herald reporter about an investigation into the acting Suffolk County district attorney while he was running for election.

The documents signed June 30 show that Rollins agreed to the reprimand without a hearing.

Reuters obtained the records and first reported the news that Rollins had agreed to the reprimand.
