WILLOWICK, Ohio (WOIO) - While the relieved parent of a pet parrot called the Willowick firefighters “humanitarians,” WFD proved yet again that they care for all residents, even those with fur, feathers, tails, or scales.
Willowick resident Jackie Fisher told 19 News one of her worst nightmares came true on Sept. 18 when her beloved 20-year-old Eclectus Parrot named Mango flew away.
Mango was used to going on adventures with Fisher, but this was the first time this house bird flew off her shoulder as she got out of the car to walk inside the home.
