The National Weather Service released a beach hazards statement at 3:56 p.m. on Tuesday in effect until Thursday at 5 a.m. for Niagara, Orleans and Cayuga counties.

The weather service states to expect, "Strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions."

"Strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions," adds the weather service. "Stay out of the water to avoid dangerous swimming conditions."
