Seminole County deputies barged into a home near Lake Mary in June looking for a suspect in an alleged shoplifting incident.

No arrest was made because an apparent miscommunication between the sheriff’s office and Oviedo police led deputies to force their way into the wrong home.

The family’s attorney intends to sue in both federal and circuit courts.

It was after 10 p.m. on a Sunday at the home of Victor Gordillo Jr. and his wife Jennifer, along with their kids and relatives who were visiting, when deputies knocked on the door.

Their body cameras were rolling. WESH 2 Investigates obtained a copy of the videos that show what happened.
