MCKENZIE BRIDGE, Ore. - The 497-acre Foley Ridge Fire, sparked by lightning, is currently 58% contained, according to fire management officials.
Fire officials said that firefighters are actively working to repair and rehabilitate areas affected by the fire, focusing on reducing fuel loads along Foley Ridge Road. The Oregon Department of Transportation confirms Highway 242 is no longer closed due to fire activity. However, a seasonal closure remains in effect between Mileposts 61.91 and 76.80.
