SOUTH HEART, N.D. (KMOT/KFYR) - Des Lacs-Burlington junior Laila Christianson won her second straight Class B girls golf individual state title Tuesday, shooting three under par for the 36-hole tournament at Pheasant Country Golf Course.

She held a four-stroke lead after Monday and won by a total of 12 strokes.

Des Lacs-Burlington placed third as a team, the highest in program history.

Heart River claimed the team title, edging Kindred by one stroke for the program’s third-ever state championship.

The Cougars were led by senior Megan Robb, who shot 10-over overall for a third-place individual finish.

All four of the team’s scoring golfers placed in the top 10 individually.
