LOUISA CO., Iowa (KWQC) - A person is in custody after the Lousia County Sheriff’s Office said shooting threats were made while on a phone call with a Wells Fargo Bank representative.

Louisa County schools were placed on a “soft” lockdown Friday after shooting threats were made by an out-of-state person with local ties, the sheriff said.

Deputies learned about the threats after the bank’s security services reached out to Lousia County.

The schools were placed on lockdown after law enforcement officials couldn’t find or contact the person, who is not being identified by deputies.

The person was located in North Carolina on Friday, and the person returned to Louisa County on Saturday, the sheriff said.
