PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Someone is fighting for their life after a crash in west Phoenix on Tuesday.

It happened on 87th Avenue, south of Buckeye Road, around 4:30 p.m., near Dos Rios Elementary School .

Police haven’t released much information but they said at least one victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Aerial video from the scene showed a white pickup truck with damage to its driver’s side.

Officers said 87th Avenue is closed in both directions near Durango Street while detectives investigate.
