MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was hospitalized after he was stabbed in the arm during an assault in Muskegon Heights, police say.

The stabbing happened around 9:10 p.m. on Sanford Street near Manahan Avenue, according to Muskegon Heights Police Department Chief Maurice Sain.

The man, who was not named by police, was taken to the hospital.

Sain said police are searching for a suspect. He did not release any suspect information. It's not clear what led up to the stabbing.
