BORING, Ore. — Two deadly crashes have struck the same stretch of Highway 212 in Boring within the past 48 hours, both just feet apart from each other.
One crash happened Sunday afternoon, where according to Oregon State Police, a Dodge Caliber driven by 21-year-old Austin Roberts crashed into a brick building just feet away from Timber Pub and Grub. That car caught fire before being extinguished by the fire department.
Both Roberts and their 19-year-old passenger, Taylor Wonderly, died on the scene. Two employees of the business struck also suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital.
According to OSP, speed is being considered a primary cause of the crash.
