College students protest, demand action after violent assault on campus
Dozens of students from the UABC School of Administrative Sciences blocked a major boulevard on Monday afternoon, voicing their anger and fear following a violent assault on a fellow student that has exposed glaring security failures on campus, La Voz newspaper reported.
The protest, which saw students carrying signs and chanting “We want security, we want justice,” was a direct response to an attack that occurred on the evening of Wednesday, September 24th. The victim, 18-year-old first-year student Gustavo, was waiting for his ride after classes when he was brutally assaulted.
