At 1 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service released a frost advisory valid for Thursday between midnight and 8 a.m. for Berkshire County.
The weather service adds to prepare for, "Temperatures as low as 33 to 36 degrees will result in areas of frost formation."
"Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," describes the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
