SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) -- Bring in or cover those sensitive plants tonight because temperatures could get cold enough to damage or kill them if not tended to.
A Frost Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for much of Central New York from midnight until 8am Thursday, October 2 for Tompkins, Madison, Southern Oneida, Cortland, and Chenango.
The Frost Advisory is in effect until 9am Thursday, October 2 for Oswego, Jefferson, and northern St. Lawrence counties.
The temperatures are forecast to drop as low as the low to mid 30s early Thursday morning in the normally coldest parts of CNY mainly south and east of Syracuse in the sheltered valleys where the wind will be near calm overnight.
