Local rapper Marquon Dequez Fulton, also known by his stage name Kasher Quon, was arrested in Sterling Heights recently and charged with texting while driving and driving without a license.

Fulton was driving southbound on Mound Road near 14 Mile Road on Sept. 20 when patrol officers allegedly noticed he was holding his cell phone in front of his face and initiated a traffic stop.

According to a Sterling Heights police report, Fulton first said he didn’t do anything wrong, then said he was on his phone while driving.

Officers saw that he had several outstanding warrants including one out of Sterling Heights for aggravated assault and a felony warrant out of Shelby Township for identity theft.

Fulton also has warrants in Roseville, Westland, Dearborn, Southfield, and Redford Township.
