A man has tragically died in a fatal lorry crash on the busy M8 motorway in Glasgow .
Emergency services scrambled to the M77 northbound, at its merge with the M8, around 5.30pm on Tuesday, September 30. Police say a tractor and trailer had shed its load of timber onto the motorway.
We previously told how footage was captured of the load coming crashing down on the M8 as vehicles passed underneath.
Police Scotland confirmed that a 61-year-old man, who was driving the tractor, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
