A man who tragically died in a fatal lorry crash on the M8 motorway in Glasgow has been named.
Emergency services scrambled to the M77 northbound, at its merge with the M8, around 5.30pm on Tuesday, September 30. Police say a Scania Heavy Tractor Unit and trailer shed its load of timber onto the motorway.
Police Scotland previously confirmed that a 61-year-old man, who was driving the tractor, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. They have now named him as Tom Meikle from Carnwath..
