Tripura Jailbreak: The injured jail staff, Bedu Miah, was admitted to Dharmanagar Dist Hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.

In a major security lapse, six inmates, including five undertrial prisoners and one convicted lifer, escaped from the Dharmanagar Sub-Jail at Kalikapur in North Tripura district on Wednesday after attacking a jail guard with sharp weapons when they were brought out of their cells for breakfast and ablutions.

The injured jail staff, Bedu Miah, was admitted to Dharmanagar District Hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.
