KALAMAZOO, MI — The future Kalamazoo Event Center currently looks like a few cement towers, a metal lattice and a lot of dirt.
A new video helps Kalamazoo envision the $515 million development, slated to open fall 2027.
The rendering “fly through” showcases the 6,500-seat event space, dining and premium seating options, as well as a jumbotron and light capabilities.
Outside, renderings show a mixture of sleek, new facades with greenspace between on-site parking and the event center.
Check out the video, below.
The cutting-edge facility will house WMU’s men’s and women’s basketball teams, along with the Broncos’ national championship hockey team and the Kalamazoo Wings ECHL professional hockey team.
