Nevada City, Calif. – The Planning Commission is scheduled to review the draft RV housing ordinance Nov. 13, rather than Oct. 9, providing the public with additional time to review and provide feedback.

If the commission gives its approval, the ordinance will move to the Board of Supervisors in early 2026 for a final vote.

Planning staff released a draft ordinance in late August that proposes allowing RVs as an additional dwelling unit on properties that are three acres or greater, with a permitted single- family dwelling. RV housing would be allowed in residential and rural zoning districts. Permits for RV dwelling would be valid for two years and could be renewed.
