Teachers voted overwhelmingly to reject Danielle Smith’s government’s latest Memorandum of Agreement, with over 38,000 members of the Alberta Teachers Association (ATA) voting to keep the labour dispute going. This made up 89.5% of union members who voted.
Teachers are ready to strike starting on Monday, October 6th. A strike could come in multiple different forms. A full walkout is possible, with all ATA members refusing to go into work.
