PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- About a dozen first responders, mostly Peoria Police vehicles, are in the Sheridan for a shots-fired incident.
Officers with the Peoria Police Department were called at approximately 7:36 a.m. to the 2000 block of North Sheridan Road to a report of shots fired, said Police Chief Eric Echevarria.
When officers arrived, they entered the home where they found a dead person inside, he said.
A Peoria police spokesperson says they have deemed it a homicide, but there are no other details they can share at this moment.
