UPDATE: The Gatlinburg Bypass reopened on Tuesday, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Service said.
A "significant landslide" happened on Saturday, September 27, covering several roads with debris.
On Monday, crews were still working to clean up the area. The National Park service said they removed more than 70 loads of debris.

The Friends of Great Smoky Mountains National Park posted the announcement to social media amid a wave of spotty showers.
Park rangers said the landslide is "completely blocking" the roadway,
Emergency Management officials also said Sevier County is seeing flooding in other areas, and several roads are closed due to flooding
