In Flagstaff, Arizona, a 13-year-old girl crashed a stolen car while driving under the influence early Tuesday morning (September 30). An 11-year-old was in the passenger seat during the incident, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS). Both children were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The joyride began around 1 a.m. when the car, stolen from the Flagstaff Police Department, was reported missing. The young driver traveled the wrong way across the median on Interstate 40 before correcting her course and speeding off at over 100 mph . The car eventually hit a guardrail, rolled over multiple times, and crashed into a tree. The impact was so intense that the steering wheel snapped off and was found 50 feet away from the vehicle.
