BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - An investigation is underway after a student was found with a weapon on the Glen Oaks High campus in Baton Rouge.

According to the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, school officials received a tip that a student may have had a weapon. For safety measures, the school system immediately contacted law enforcement to respond.

When the student arrived on campus, law enforcement intervened promptly, located the weapon, and safely apprehended the individual.

It was noted that no students or staff were in danger.

No other details were released at this time.
