UPDATE 11:33 a.m.

The Munro Lake wildfire is now being held, meaning that based on fuel and weather conditions and resource availability, the blaze is to remain within the current perimeter, control lines, and boundary.

At this time, all evacuation alerts and orders remain in place.

Over the course of the last 40 hours, the Munro Lake wildfire has grown two hectares in size, now listed at 383 hectares, said BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) in its Wednesday morning update.

The update, which was the first one since Monday afternoon, stated there are now 100 firefighters on scene battling the blaze, using direct attack methods.

Crews are also establishing and reinforcing containment lines along the perimeter of the fire.
