A Tunbridge Wells resident and former RAF fighter pilot is on board a flotilla attempting to breach Israel's naval blockade to deliver aid to Gaza. Retired Malcom Ducker, who calls himself an activist, is sailing with the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), a group of more than 40 boats.

Climate activist Greta Thunberg is on board and among a reported 500 people. The BBC reported this afternoon one of the flotilla's vessels was "aggressively circled" by an Israeli warship for several minutes, and communications on the aid boat Alma were cut off during the incident, but that the boat was now back on course.
