A summit on how to tackle the threat posed by seagulls has been branded a "sham" by former Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross.
The event in Inverness , which took place on September 23, was convened by agriculture minister Jim Fairlie, who said it had been organised due to "increasing public concern about the impact of gull populations" in towns and cities.
However, Douglas Ross has since insisted the event was a “sham”. The Highlands and Islands MSP said he had been contacted by “councillors, community councillors, resident associations and others who were bitterly disappointed and quite frankly angry” at being excluded from the Government-organised summit .
