On Wednesday at 12:58 p.m. a frost advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid for Thursday between midnight and 8 a.m. for Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, Schenectady, Albany and Columbia counties.
The weather service states to prepare for, "Temperatures as low as 33 degrees will result in frost formation."
"Frost and/or cold temperatures could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," explains the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
