CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Miroslav Parashikov decided that Clevelanders need a new twist on fast-casual dining. So he opened The Pierogi Bucket in the Cuyahoga Kitchen at Ohio City Farm .
The Pierogi Bucket is the first restaurant to pop up in the space adjacent to Ohio City Farm, across the parking lot from West Side Market and Market Garden Brewery.
The small, takeout-only space offers deep-fried pierogi and two sauces. The pierogi are filled with mashed potato and cheddar cheese and come with two sauces: garlic butter and buttermilk ranch. Customer can chose from three bucket sizes: full (24 for $24.99), half (12 for $12.99) and personal (5 for $4.99).
Parashikov, who moved to the United States from Bulgaria 27 years ago, says his country has a similar stuffed dumpling.
