Two Renfrew County men have been fined a total of $2,400 for violating the conditions of a deer removal authorization.

In a case heard at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 28, 2025, Justice of the Peace Jennifer L. Grant imposed fines against Frederick Hansma of Renfrew and Adam Wright of Greater Madawaska.

Hansma pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the conditions of a deer removal authorization and to making a false statement to a conservation officer. He was fined $600 for each offence, totaling $1,200. Wright pleaded guilty to the same charges and received the same fine.
