WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A 27-year-old Wichita man faces charges that include cruelty to animals and criminal sodomy; between a person and an animal, for a crime that a local rescue group describes as “disgustingly shocking.”

Court records show that the man, Jacob Garrett Wilson is in the Sedgwick County Jail, held on a $100,000 bond following his arrest on Aug. 28. A preliminary hearing in Wilson’s case is set for later this month.

As the criminal case progresses, the cat that suffered the abuse is in the care of the Wichita Animal Action League (WAAL) . The Wichita rescue group shared Willow’s story on a social media post that carried a “trigger warning.”
